Rationing Food, Spinning Reality, Hatred and Lies

Sat Dec 01, 2007 at 03:10:36 AM PDT

Bushco has created such a cavern of division in America with his conservative compassionate double speak between the rich and poor, democrats and republicans, christians and the others, and among his own White house employees.

Where did all the hatred come from?
Karl Rove, though clever and politically twisted, seems to be the brains behind a lot of what is spewed by Rush Limbaugh, Sean, Hannity, Glenn Beck, and all things Fox News related.

Rove is busy right now spinning and lying about Bush's history.

Card Rejects Rove’s Claim That Congress Pushed Bush To War: ‘His Mouth Gets Ahead Of His Brain’

This morning, former White House chief of staff at the time, Andrew Card, appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and completely discredited Rove’s argument:

SCARBOROUGH: We have to start with something that we all are talking about a couple of days ago where Karl Rove went on Charlie Rose and he blamed the Democrats for pushing him and the president into war. Is that how it worked?

CARD: No, that’s not the way it worked.

Card went on to explain that sometimes Rove’s "mouth gets ahead of his brain":

SCARBOROUGH: Is that just Karl spinning beyond the White House? ...

CARD: Well, Karl is very smart. He’s — sometimes his brain gets ahead of his mouth. And sometimes his mouth gets ahead of his brain.

Andrew Card now speaks the truth after leaving the white house. Makes one really wonder about that damn Loyalty Oath that lock-stepped these idiots while serving Bush together- Just thinking about what that OATH helped do makes my stomach squeamish.

Well we all know about most of the horrors that Bushco conservative corporate compassion has brought forth to America and the world under the guise of trickle down economics, spreading freedom, democracy and pseudo-christianity.

Most of us are paying that price in many ways daily. But the least among us are now being RATIONED FOOD in the 'richest country' in the world. This is outrageous!

Food Banks, in a Squeeze, Tighten Belts

MANCHESTER, N.H., Nov. 26 — Food banks around the country are reporting critical shortages that have forced them to ration supplies, distribute staples usually reserved for disaster relief and in some instances close.

"It’s one of the most demanding years I’ve seen in my 30 years" in the field, said Catherine D’Amato, president and chief executive of the Greater Boston Food Bank, comparing the situation to the recession of the late 1970s.

Experts attributed the shortages to an unusual combination of factors, including rising demand, a sharp drop in federal supplies of excess farm products, and tighter inventory controls that are leaving supermarkets and other retailers with less food to donate.

"We don’t have nearly what people need, and that’s all there is to it," said Greg Bryant, director of the food pantry in Sheffield, Vt.

Yesterday, we witnessed hateful remarks towards Senator Hillary Clinton during a hostage crisis in Rochester, NH. This was stuff that unfortunately we've grown used to hearing from Limbaugh, Coulture, Hannity, Fox and the worse of the Republicans. The MSM spin has officially arrived and is alive and well among us.

I understand some of the reasons of those who won't vote for Clinton. But the hatred? That pure evil gut wrenching hatred? There's only one source for that..

That hatred is the root of the great division in America- I cannot even say the U-part of the States, because this country is not united anymore.

I am guilty of Rah Rahing when Hyde died and Cheney goes to the hospital, feeling absolutely no compassion for them or their families. I was never that cold hearted before. I will admit to having become desensitized since Bush stole his power. The world changed before my eyes and my trust in my fellow man to do the right thing was proven wrong on almost a daily basis.
I grew angry and ranted and raged with the best of you here. But in the steps of grief I am in acceptance that I cannot fix any of it. All I can do is to maybe remind myself and others by keeping some awareness of our surroundings.

There is a difference between humorous remarks and pure hateful remarks. I can appreciate the 'funny' but the hate and lies should be called out and stopped. Otherwise we will become just like THEM.
